Getting There

By Air

The following airlines fly to the DRC: Air France, South Africanm Airlines, Kenyan airways, KLM, Cameroon airways.

The main international airport is Kinshasa ( FIH), it is 25 km from the city.  Buses and taxis are available

By Rail

In peacetime, there are rail services to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Lobito in Angola; and connections to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa. 

By Road

There are road connections to most surrounding countrie, but roads are generally impassable due to weather conditions and risk of rebels.

By Air

Kinshasa has connections with man other airpoirts and landing strips, charters are available.

By water

Much of the Congo river in the DRC is navigable but due to fuel shortages and political instability no servuces are currently running.

By Rail

There are rail services connecting major towns although they are unreliable.

By Road

Traffic drives on the right.  The roads are in very porr condition and hijackings, often at gunpoint, are a hazrard.
