Getting There

By Air

Ghana international Airways is the national airline.
Accra (ACC) airport is 10 km from the city. Taxis are available to the city. Departure taxes are payable for both international and domestic departures.

By Water

Ships run from Ivory Coast, Cameroon, South Africa and Nigeria.

By Road

Accra is linked via the coast road to benin, Togo and Nigeria.   Buses run to Cote d'Ivoire, Togo and Burkina Faso.

Getting Around

By Air

There are domestic services between Accra, Kumasi and Tamale.

By Water

A lake steamer runs twice weekly across Lake Volta between Akosombo and Yeji.

By Rail

Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi are connected by rail. 

By Road

In general roads are in good condition.  Car hire is available but can be expensive.  Chauffer driven cars are also available.
Major towns are connected by state run and privately owned buses.
