Addis Ababa

The current capital of ethiopia has some interesting places to visit including:
National Museum
Ethnology Museum
Meskal square
St Georges Cathedral

Aksum

The ancient Royal capital of the country is allegedly the resting place of the Lost Ark of the Covenant.  You can also see:
acrcheological remain and carved granite obelisks.

Gondar

was capital from 1632 to1855 and has a number of impressive castles

Lalibela

home to 13 rock hewn churches.  The churches have symbols and stories carved into them.  It is stil a place of pilgrimmage, how and why they they were built is still unsure.
