Day 1 Stellenbosch Wine Route
Camp L,D

We depart for the beautiful wine region of Stellenbosch. En route to our camp we will visit a wine farm to sample some of the excellent wine. In Whale season (between June and November) we will spend the night near Hermanus in the hope that we will see some of these huge mammals.

Day 2/3 Oudtshoorn Knysna
Camp B,L,D

Leaving the coast behind us we drive inland to visit the Cango Caves. After taking a tour of this amazing natural wonder we have the opportunity to visit an Ostrich farm. Returning to the coast via some lovely country roads we drive to the picturesque seaside village of Knysna. Optional Activities: Ostrich Farm visit and Ostrich Riding, Canoeing, Abseiling, Hiking, Lagoon Cruise.

Day 4/5 Tsitsikamma National Park
Camp B,L,D

It is a short drive to Stormsriver, our base for the next two nights. From here we will explore the coastal region in the Tsitsikamma National Park. The hiking here is some of the best anywhere and includes the option to walk the first few kilometers of the Otter Trail. Optional Activities: Bungee Jumping, Tubing, Treetop Tours, Hiking.

Day 6 Addo Elephant National Park
Camp B,L,D

The journey continues further East into the Eastern Cape Province where we spend our time in Addo Elephant National Park surrounded by these magnificent creatures. Game driving in the Park allows us good opportunity to take some wonderful photos.

Day 7/8 Coffee Bay
Camp B,L,D

After a last game drive in Addo we depart the Park and drive north along the sunshine coast towards Coffee Bay. It is a long but scenic drive to this beautiful coastal area. We have a full day to relax on the beach and hike to the famous ‘Hole in the Wall’. Optional Activities: Xhosa Village Visit, Hiking.

Day 9/10 Lesotho
Camp B,L,D

After a long but scenic drive we enter the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. The next day we get up early and those going on the Pony Trek will ride into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local guides. If you choose to remain behind you can just relax or visit the local village, school or craft market. Optional Activities: Pony Trekking Excursion, Hiking, Village and School visit.

Day 11/12 South Africa – Drakensberg

Today we return to South Africa where we drive towards the Royal Natal National Park. We spend the next two nights in this majestic area exploring mountain paths and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Drakensberg. Optional horse riding trails are an easier way to reach some of the more remote viewpoints. Optional Activities: Horse Riding, Hiking.

Day 13 Kwa Zulu Natal Coast/Durban

Our journey today takes us through some amazing scenery as we return to the coast. In the late afternoon we arrive in Durban. In the evening it is possible to go out for a meal at one of the excellent Indian restaurants. Optional Activities: Dinner and night out in the city.

Day 14 Greater St Lucia Wetland Park
Camp B,L,D

We drive up along the Kwa Zulu Natal coast to the well-known Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. We will spend tonight near this amazing wetland and there are various optional activities available to enhance the time spent here. Optional Activities: Lagoon Cruise and Traditional Zulu Village visit.

Day 15/16 Swaziland – Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Today we enter Swaziland where we will experience some more of Southern Africa’s cultural diversity. We spend the next two nights in the Mlilwane Nature Reserve where we are able to hike on foot. We experience the wonderful Swazi hospitality first hand while visiting a traditional village. Optional Activities: Mountain Biking, Hiking, Horse Riding, Game Viewing.

Day 17/18 South Africa - Kruger National Park

We return to South Africa and drive to the Kruger National Park for two unforgettable days of game viewing. Kruger National Park is home to Africa’s Big 5 as well as a multitude of other beautiful African animals, both small and large. To increase your chances of seeing the rare nocturnal animals a night drive with the South African National Park Services is highly recommended. Optional Activities: Night Drive and Dawn Game Walk.

Day 19 Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre
Camp B,L,D

With our minds full of memories of the most famous nature conservation area in the world, we leave the Park. En route to the camp we visit a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Here we will go on an educational tour.

Day 20 Johannesburg
Tour ends Own Arrangement B,L

On the last day we enjoy the Panorama Route visiting Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window before our arrival in Johannesburg. Although the tour has ended it is quite common for the group to spend this last night together at one of Johannesburg’s excellent restaurants. Optional Activities: Dinner Out.
