Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD; symbol EC$) = 100 cents. Notes are in denominations of EC$100, 50, 20, 10 and 5. Coins are in denominations of EC$1, and 25, 10, 5, 2 and 1 cents. The currency is linked to the US dollar, and US dollars widely used. It is advisable to take travellers cheques in US Dollars.

Health

Hepatitis A jab is reccommended, and a yellow fever innoculation is required for people arriving from a yellow fever area.  There are no specific health threats associated with the region.  GP's are available on the island and minor emergency work can be performed.  Travel insurance is reccommended.
